240 St Georges Terrace, Perth
We were engaged to provide a complete access solution to support the recladding of 240 St Georges Terrace, a prominent high-rise in the Perth CBD. The project required a coordinated approach to safely and efficiently manage façade removal and replacement works within a live city environment. Working alongside the Duratec, we designed and delivered a combination of mast climbers, swing stages, and scaffold access to ensure full coverage and uninterrupted progress for multiple trades.
Our tailored system incorporated mast climbers for high-capacity , high rise access, swing stages for access to detailed façade areas, and scaffold platforms for fixed access points and edge protection. This integrated approach provided flexibility across varying elevations, minimised manual handling, and improved safety and productivity. Detailed planning and sequencing allowed for efficient transitions between systems, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to tight project timelines.
Despite challenges such as restricted site space and CBD operational constraints, our team successfully delivered a safe, cost-effective, and reliable access solution. The project enabled the client to complete the recladding efficiently while achieving compliance with current fire safety standards. This outcome highlights our capability to design and implement bespoke access solutions for complex façade and high-rise projects across Western Australia.

Central Park, Perth
We were engaged to provide a comprehensive access solution for the full reclad of Central Park in Perth, one of the city’s most prominent high-rise buildings. The project required complex façade access at heights of up to 186m, necessitating innovative solutions to safely and efficiently enable trades to complete recladding works across multiple elevations.
Our team designed and installed mast climbers at over 18 locations, erected from a custom 3.6m-wide perimeter platform at level 5. These mast climbers were fully profiled with up to 3m cantilevering, curved sections wrapping around columns, and end sections that could slide under diagonal braces, providing complete access to the façade. A standout feature was the motorised mast climber end section, which could be slewed into position around columns, eliminating the need for full scaffolding in these areas and avoiding additional costs exceeding $400k.
Executed over a two-year period, this project highlights our ability to deliver highly customised, complex mast climber solutions for large-scale façade projects. By combining engineering innovation, safety, and efficiency, we enabled the successful completion of Central Park’s reclad, demonstrating our capability to manage technically challenging access requirements on iconic high-rise buildings.

Arena Competition Pool, Joondalup
We were engaged to provide a mobile access solution for repainting the ceiling and steelwork above the competition pool at Joondalup Arena. The client required a system that could efficiently cover the full length and width of the pool while it was drained for maintenance, ensuring safe and continuous access for trades.
Our team designed and installed a custom system scaffold mounted on rails, spanning 8m long by 24m wide, which could be easily repositioned across both the length and width of the pool. This allowed multiple trades to work concurrently without repeated assembly and disassembly, maximising productivity while maintaining strict safety standards.
The project was completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule, providing full access to all ceiling and steelwork areas. This highlights our capability to deliver innovative mobile access solutions for complex maintenance projects where traditional scaffolding would be inefficient or impractical.

Old Swan Brewery, Perth
AccSpec was engaged to design and install a bespoke aluminium scaffold system over the tiled roof of the historic Old Swan Brewery in Perth. The scaffold provided safe access to a 7 m high section spanning 11 m and returning 6 m, allowing trades to complete works at height while preserving the integrity of the heritage structure.
Due to the fragile roof surface, the system was engineered using lightweight aluminium components to minimise load and prevent damage to the tiles. Custom bridging and base support arrangements were implemented to distribute weight evenly, and all components were manually handled to avoid mechanical contact with the roof.
The completed structure delivered a stable, compliant, and efficient access solution, enabling uninterrupted progress of restoration works. This project highlights AccSpec’s capability in providing tailored access systems for complex heritage environments requiring precision, safety, and minimal building impact.

Wellington Dam, Collie
We were directly engaged by the State Government to design and deliver a bespoke access solution for the large-scale mural installation at Wellington Dam. The project required careful planning and innovation to enable the artist to safely access the entire curved face of the dam wall — one of the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere — in multiple stages.
Our team worked closely with the artist and site management to develop a flexible and modular system that could be repositioned efficiently as the artwork progressed. The design prioritised safety, stability, and accessibility while minimising downtime and disruption to surrounding operations.
A key focus of our involvement was maintaining a realistic and cost-effective approach, ensuring that the commissioning of the artwork remained financially viable without compromising on safety or performance. The result was a tailored access solution that supported the successful delivery of an iconic public artwork, now recognised as one of Western Australia’s most significant regional art installations.

Crown Theatre, Perth
We were engaged to provide a complete access and installation solution for the upgrade of the Crown Theatre stage in Perth, including the installation of new overhead staging equipment. The project required safe and precise access to the theatre’s high-level structures to facilitate rigging, mounting, and integration of advanced stage systems while maintaining operational safety within a live venue environment.
Our team designed and erected a custom scaffold and access system, allowing technicians to safely reach the overhead areas for the installation of hoists, tracks, and structural components. The scaffold was engineered to accommodate complex theatre geometries, including high ceilings and arching overhead structures, providing stable and flexible access across the full stage area. This system enabled multiple trades to work simultaneously on electrical, mechanical, and structural elements, maximising efficiency and reducing overall project time.
The project was successfully completed on schedule and met stringent safety and operational standards. By providing a tailored, high-level access solution, we ensured the safe installation of all overhead staging equipment while facilitating a theatre upgrade that improved performance capabilities and operational reliability. This project highlights our expertise in delivering complex access solutions for high-risk, precision-critical environments in live entertainment venues.

Four Story Apartment building, reroof, South Perth
We were engaged to design and erect an aluminium scaffold system for a four-storey apartment building. Located on the waterfront with a full-length façade facing the Esplanade, required scaffold access for a reroofing program and repainting of the lower levels, ensuring safe and efficient work at height without impacting residents or public areas.
Our team delivered a lightweight, robust scaffold solution tailored to the building’s height and layout. The design incorporated safe access stairs, edge protection, and loading bays, enabling multiple trades to operate simultaneously while accommodating the building’s full-width, 16 m by 20 m footprint along the busy Esplanade.
The project was completed on schedule, providing stable, compliant access throughout the works. Using aluminium scaffolding reduced structural load on the building and allowed faster erection and dismantle, optimising project efficiency. This project demonstrates our capability in delivering safe, customised access solutions for residential upgrade projects in high-traffic, visually sensitive urban locations.
